I always love a good party, especially a spa party. Last Friday, Blooming Moon Wellness Spa, located in the Nob Hill district, hosted a fabulous affair. What could be better a better deal than $5 brow waxes, $5 makeup touch ups, and $1 per minute chair massage? The place was filled with spa-goers waiting in line for a taste of mango mimosas and huckleberry goat cheese cucumber appetizers. The famous Amy Burgess had new jewelry designs there (and outfitted all the Blooming Moon spa staff with bright feather flower hair pins!) and Jimm DJ’d nonstop swanky lounge music. I can’t wait to see what they have in store next in terms of events…rumor has it that Blooming Moon Spa is moving to a bigger location soon. I hope they don’t go too far – maybe they will have an opening party? You know I’ll be there.

Am I dreaming? No, but I have discovered the café of my dreams, Cloud Seven Café. Right on Jamison Square, located in the Pearl District, every single detail of this café has been thought out impeccably. Outdoor seating is punctuated by sky blue umbrellas. A troop of yogis plant themselves on the lawn to gracefully pose in sync in Jamison Square. There are even lots of outlets inside for the dying phone brigade and eternal laptoppers.
